Cookie banner and tracking from a single source
LeadSignal ships its own cookie banner that directly controls which ad pixels load. The Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag only start once a visitor consents to the Marketing category. You don't need an extra consent tool and you don't have to wire tags to consent categories by hand.

We respect your privacy
We use cookies for statistics and marketing. You decide what is allowed.
Ad pixels
- Meta Pixelblocked
- TikTok Pixelblocked
- LinkedIn Insight Tagblocked
Consent Mode v2
- ad_storagedenied
- ad_user_datadenied
- ad_personalizationdenied
- analytics_storagedenied
Before consent the pixels stay blocked and every signal is set to denied.
What's included
Pixels only after consent
LeadSignal only loads the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag when the Marketing category is allowed. Your own scripts such as Hotjar or PostHog can be tied to any consent category.
Google Consent Mode v2 included
With a connected Google Ads integration, LeadSignal sets the defaults to "denied" and updates ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage once the visitor consents.
Strict consent mode
If you want, nothing but the consent decision leaves the browser before consent: no events, no forwarding to conversion APIs, and Google only loads after consent.
Design that fits your site
Bar, box or floating window, light, dark or system theme, your own accent colour, position, corners and opacity.
Four languages, your own copy
German, English, French and Spanish. Adjust title, description, buttons and categories per language.
Consent rate in the dashboard
See how many visitors accept everything, accept partially, decline or haven't decided yet.
How it works
- 1
Enable the banner in your project
The banner is delivered by the same LeadSignal script. There is no second snippet and no separate tool.
- 2
Set layout, colours and copy
Choose layout, theme and accent colour, enable the languages you need and adjust the copy. Add the link to your privacy policy.
- 3
Complete the cookie list
LeadSignal adds the cookies of your connected integrations to the cookie list automatically. You add any other cookies with provider, purpose, storage type and duration.
- 4
Connect your ad platforms
Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok or LinkedIn. The pixels are tied to the Marketing category automatically, with no triggers or rules in a tag manager.
- 5
Watch your consent rate
The dashboard shows how visitors decide, so you can improve copy or design deliberately without dark patterns.
In detail
- Five categories: Necessary, Preferences, Statistics, Marketing and Unclassified.
- Default variant with "Accept all", "Decline" and "Settings" right on the first layer.
- Floating icon that lets visitors change or withdraw their choice at any time.
- Cookie list with provider, purpose and duration that visitors can view in the settings.
- Every decision gets a consent ID that visitors can see in the settings. LeadSignal stores the current choice with categories and timestamp.
- JavaScript API (leadsignal.getConsent, leadsignal.setConsent, leadsignal.onConsentChanged) for your own extensions.
- The TikTok Pixel is controlled through TikTok's consent functions (holdConsent, grantConsent, revokeConsent).
Good to know
- •No IAB TCF: publishers running programmatic advertising are better served by a TCF-certified consent management platform.
- •No automatic cookie scan: you add cookies that don't come from LeadSignal integrations to the list yourself.
- •The banner controls the scripts LeadSignal loads (ad pixels and custom code integrations). It does not automatically block scripts you embedded directly in your site's source code.
- •LeadSignal sets Consent Mode signals when a Google Ads integration is connected.
- •No geo-targeting: the banner is shown the same way to all visitors.
- •LeadSignal provides the technical building blocks, not legal advice. Check with your data protection officer whether your overall setup is compliant.
Frequently asked questions
Do I also need a tool like Cookiebot or Usercentrics?+
Not for the pixels and scripts you add through LeadSignal. The banner is part of the script and controls them directly. If you run programmatic advertising with IAB TCF or have many other third-party scripts embedded directly in your source code, a separate consent management platform can make sense.
What happens when a visitor declines?+
LeadSignal then loads no Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn ad pixels and none of your own scripts from categories that were not accepted. If you want to make sure no tracking data at all leaves the browser without consent, enable strict consent mode.
Does the banner support Google Consent Mode v2?+
Yes, once a Google Ads integration is connected. LeadSignal then sets all signals to "denied" before any choice and updates them after consent: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization follow the Marketing category, analytics_storage follows Statistics.
Is there a decline button on the first layer?+
Yes, in the default variant "Accept all", "Decline" and "Settings" sit side by side on the first layer. We recommend this variant because German data protection authorities require an equally easy way to decline.
Can I write my own copy?+
Yes. All texts, button labels, category headings and the privacy policy link can be adjusted per language.
